Telecom rolls out VoIP network (Stuff)
Auckland schoolchildren made the first calls on Telecom’s “next- generation network” that promises new services and lower prices. The company is scrapping the public switched phone network (PSTN) in favour of a network based on voice-over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology.
